How Ultherapy works

Focused ultrasound energy creates tiny thermal points at 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm and 4.5 mm depths, including the SMAS layer that surgeons tighten in a facelift. The controlled injury triggers new collagen over the following months.

How Thermage FLX works

Radiofrequency energy heats collagen, causing immediate contraction and stimulating gradual remodeling. A cooling tip protects the surface while vibration improves comfort.

Choose Ultherapy if you have

  • early jowling and a softening jawline
  • brow heaviness
  • loose skin under the chin
  • adults in their 30s–60s with mild to moderate laxity

Choose Thermage FLX if you have

  • crepey or loose skin
  • fine texture and laxity across cheeks and neck
  • eyelid hooding (with a dedicated eye tip)
  • patients wanting skin quality rather than deep lift

Can you combine them?

Often, yes — your doctor will decide sequencing and timing based on your skin and travel dates.
